POLICY & PROCEDURES 2020-2021
SRIKAMAL MUSICALS OPC PRIVATE LIMITED
COMPREHENSIVE PIANO COURSES ONLINE

Change in policy and procedures post COVID-19 effective from June 2020
We are living amidst what is potentially one of the greatest threats in our lifetime to global education, a gigantic educational crisis. We know that the more engaging learning styles are ones that are more interactive and that face-to-face learning is better than 100 percent of online learning. We also know that blended learning can draw on the best of both worlds and create a better learning experience than one hundred percent face-to-face learning. We would be remiss if we didn’t take away a greater sense of empathy for each other—the idea that we can work through together—from this crisis. I think it’s an opportunity for the education sector to unite and forge. There will be No home tutoring going forward until further notice, all information shared related to the course would conduct.
ENROLLMENT
Srikamal musicals accept new students, age 9 through adult, for in-person and online-only music lessons. Students can begin lessons at any time during the year. For graded examination lessons, students must be age 9 or older. we schedule lessons on a first-paid, first-reserved basis.
PRIVATE LESSON INTERVIEW
New students always begin with a one-time “interview lesson” before enrolling in private lessons. This initial “interview lesson” allows us to assess the student’s level of skill, set goals/curriculum, and determine whether it's fit for the student. This 20-minute interview lesson costs 800 INR. You must make a payment when you schedule the interview lesson. The interview lesson fee is non-refundable. If you need to reschedule a confirmed interview lesson, We require a day's advance notice. Missed interview lessons or interview lessons canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled time. We will need to freshly scheduled only after we receive your payment of an additional fee for the new interview lesson. We will contact you to determine whether the child/adult was comfortable and would wish to continue with us. To enroll in private lessons following the interview lesson, students or parents must pay the 4000INR annual registration fee. Your lesson day/time will be held for 3 days after the interview lesson. If we do not receive a payment within 3 days, we may assign the tentatively reserved lesson day and time to another student.
GROUP CLASS INTERVIEW
We allow online group lessons within the same family who are interesting in joining a group class for the same instrument (possession of multiple instruments must).
PRE-REQUISITES FOR INSTRUMENTS & MATERIALS FOR PRIVATE LESSONS
Private online lesson students must supply their own instruments. If you are not familiar with the instrument, please discuss the student’s needs with us before purchasing or renting an instrument. We give you recommendations and study material photocopies would be given accordingly once the curriculum is finalized for the student. Most of it we will recommend a study series (John Thompson, Alfred, Faber, etc) that can be purchased online or at a local music or book store. If we purchase materials for the student as a courtesy, the student or parent must reimburse for the cost at the next lesson.
RESCHEDULING STORED LESSONS
If you request a stored lesson, you should attempt to reschedule the lesson with the teacher as soon as possible. Students are responsible for requesting a makeup lesson time for any stored lessons. If the student has a stored lesson in their account, he or she will be able to choose from a list of the teacher’s available days and times. We permit a maximum of two (2) stored lessons on each student’s account at any given time. Stored lessons resulting from a student cancellation that is not rescheduled will expire after 60 days from the date the student has requested the stored lesson (not the original date the lesson was scheduled). we also schedule regular makeup lesson days during summer break etc, all subject to the teacher’s availability.
TEACHER CANCELLATIONS
We teachers are professional performing musicians, and occasionally, a teacher’s pre-scheduled performances may require an adjustment to their lesson schedule. We will notify students/parents via email or SMS text in these instances, as soon as possible. If the student misses a lesson because of a teacher’s absence, we will make every effort to provide a lesson at the scheduled day/time. If this is not possible, we will reschedule the stored lesson.
SUMMER SCHEDULING
During the summer, we understand that many families have different schedules. We will give a maximum of four (4) lessons for family vacations and camps if the student or parent provides written notice, generally by the 15th of the previous month (May 15, June 15, and July 15 etc). There are no makeup days for canceled or missed group classes.
REQUEST FOR WITHDRAWAL
To withdraw from lessons, please write to us at srikamalmusicals@yahoo.in by the 15th day of your final month. We require a minimum of 15 days notice for withdrawal from lessons.
WEATHER RELATED CANCELLATIONS
we do not always follow weather-related cancellations. If the lessons are canceled for safety reasons for inclement weather, poor network issues, etc we will provide a lesson at a later stage. If the student does not reschedule the lesson within 60 days, the stored lesson will expire and no refund would be provided.
